The Palermo Disko Machine – Theme From Palermo Disko Machine

Posted in Cut The Noize on October 25th, 2009 by alt

This was love on first listen… we received this new Vulture release from our good friend Alan Braxe and immediately had to share Palermo Disko Machine with you … a brilliant musical venture and a great name too… if Giorgio Moroder and Philip K. Dick had a love-child this would be it… following on from successful releases on Kitsuné, PDM’s latest offering is 21st century dance music at its very best… a patchwork time-capsule of italo, disco and funk conjured up in a contemporary cauldron of cool.

Kindness – Swinging Party

Posted in Cut The Noize on October 7th, 2009 by alt

The Kindness – Swinging PartyBeing guys of good taste, of course we follow other guys of great taste – like Erol is – as well. While listening to his latest radio appearence on bbc 6 music there were a lot of great new tracks to discover but one has been really stood out for us. It´s the one from a band called Kindness which is originally healing from Berlin. Musically moving somewhere between latest DFA rec. releases combined with a certain slowed down, cosmic disco electronic twist it sounding both totally refreshing and retrospective & flower powering as well. Referring to the bands label site moshi moshi rec. it´s a Replacement´s cover. Anyhow, we love it and can´t get enough of it. Might be the next thing after MGMT, what ya think? Thank´s god it´s released right now. Go for it!

Röyksopp – This Must Be It

Posted in Cut The Noize on October 4th, 2009 by alt
