New York and Berlin duo The Glass come with the second single from their upcoming album on NYC’s Plant Music label.

In the wake of the summer hit ‘Wanna Be Dancin’’ which had huge support from Club and Radio DJs all over the globe (Pete Tong and Rob Da Bank both banged it on Radio One) vocalist Dominique Keegan (New York) and producer Glen Brady (aka Dj Wool/Berlin) come with ‘Superhero’ a pop leaning dancefloor track with an infectious hook, catchy synth leads and a jacking beat.

‘Superhero’ laments the rise and fall of every lunatic “bouncing off the walls” on a Friday night and the track comes with a slew of sexy remixes by both established and hot up and coming producers.

The Glass – Superhero (Original)

ESL Recording’s Ursula 1000 plays up the hip hop elements in the original production with 80s electro feel, shimmering hats and a 90s rave-y vibe.

UK’s Luke Solomon, founder of Classic recordings (with Derrick Carter) is an old skool rave dub with pulsing percussion, trippy synths and a wonderful retro bassline.

Newcomer Bit Thief (USA) brings an amazing Nu House remix to the table with an incredible conga heavy mix which includes tenor sax honks that will drive the dancfloors wild.

Brasil’s Komka take a slight Tech House approach with hints of German Minimalism.

London’s Sam Young & I Sancho bring a big room Electro House mix to the floor crushing kicks and a dreamy synth melody.

In 2008 Strip Steve surprised clubs with his first BNR release of oldschool-new school disco-filter-house. Since then a lot has happened for the kid from Bordeaux: he did remixes for R&S records and Modular, an epic 9 minute remix for NYC’s Fixed guys Dave P. & Adam Sparkles and played many cool club shows all around the globe.

In 2009, the year of classic house music revival, Strip Steve (22 and now based in Berlin) presents his vision of Disco rockin House-Music of 2010.

Imagine Ian Pooley being young again and ready for the world where everything is possible. 5 new banging and diverse tracks start with the obvious smasher “Breakin’” and “Children”, ready to destroy. On the flip you get “Dancin’” that samples a soulful vocal hook “feel like dancin*” plus a burning rollin bassline. “AM/FM” is a super funky acid universe. As a digital Bonus there is the sweet drive song “Point Break”.

LOO & PLACIDO (Electronic Popstar Killers)

Posted in Cut The Noize on November 1st, 2009 by alt

After touring in France, England, Germany, Spain, Turkey, USA… Loo & Placido have gained a solid reputation with their killer DJ sets where they take a malicious pleasure by blending the best of today’s and yesterday’s music in a sort of ‘Back to the Future’ avalanche mix covering most genres of dance culture in a modern and powerfull way resulting in a tasty Electro-Rock / Hip-Hop mixture.

Tired of hearing the same tracks played at every party, Loo & Placido always had the will to bring something different by producing and spinning their own remixes, mash-ups, cut-ups and edits with the aim of proposing something fresh and new and since 2009 they decided to push things a bit forward by using a few machines and a keyboard as well as Placido’s voice to create more interactivity with the audiance and give a live feeling to their show.
