Jamie Lidell – A Take Away Show

Posted in Cut The Noize on May 27th, 2010 by alt

How do La Blogotheque describes that?:
“A boring hotel. A sad neighborhood. Just two hours. But whatever, that was more than enough for Jamie Lidell and his musicians to entertain us.”
Take your time for this twelve minute video in the fifteenth arrondissement from Paris where they perform a magic street gig!

Beataucue – Cha Cha Cha (Kitsuné)

Posted in Cut The Noize on May 19th, 2010 by alt

I love this two kids and their productions and i have to admit that i don’t know them for a long time. But this is maybe because of their not so long list of releases which counts seven at this time, seven remixes by the way.

But now Beataucue comes up with their first EP on Kitsuné called Cha Cha Cha and i have to say that a lot of the established producers could take a leaf out of their (production) book. It is not the one sided style of sound which gets on your nerves after some minutes. This is more fresh and encouraging and poppy although their tracks have an aggressive attitude. These two guys have to say something, a story, a message… and i open my ears and like to listen to them.

Amazing video made by The Crystal Beach

Posted in Cut The Noize on May 17th, 2010 by alt

Ohhh, this video is really flashing. It is made by The Crystal Beach, a design studio from Munich founded by Alex Dueckminor. They made this colourful and amazing video for Columbus, a new project by singer AMOS and producer Bartellow. “Love Machine” is their debut and will be released on the austrian record label Estrela.

Besides the original version there will be remixes from Disco Damage and Harry Jen. But i’m very curious about the the one from Ben Mono.

Anthony Rother – Disco Light (Datapunk)

Anthony Rother - Disco Light Cover

Impatient fans have already made release cycle calculations. The Frankfurt insider circle already knew unconfirmed details. And now finally Datapunk is letting the dancing cat out of the bag: 2010 is starting with an Anthony Rother thunder clap.

So the electro producer is sending a first maxi rumble across the country with „Disco Light“, so that it can make condensation and can soon be unloaded as the
„Popkiller 2“ album. Actually „Disco Light“ docks where Rother found new expression with his award winning long player „Popkiller“ (2004).
Matured into unadulterated sound, but at the same time Rother’s youngest step into „Moderntronic“ essencing is in no way revised, but rather added as a further dimension. The result is a charismatic club track and catchy airplay tune at the same time, with Rother’s notorious bass growls, distinctive central beat and finally the  shimmering melody as garnish to exponentiate Rother’s singing homage to the power of a perfect party night.

Prime Time alternative no one less than Berliner &Me delivers a remix. Powerful and distinctive the producer establishes once again why he was one of the shooting stars of 2009.

Now it is time to enjoy and speculate on which songs Anthony Rother will send over the full „Popkiller 2“ distance to his fans. To be continued soon.

Early birds say:

“Killer release!” Damian Lazarus (Crosstown Rebels)

“Great production!” Cari Lekebusch (Hybrid Productions)

“Both tracks are super!! Full support. Anthony has been my personal hero for so long. Keep on pushing.” Joel Mull (Drumcode, Inside Records)

“Full support for &ME Remix.” Chris Liebing (Spinclub)

“It’s a huge bomb! Will play &Me Remix for sure!” Mark Knight (Toolroom Records)
