For sure, this is one of the big hits of the year 2010! And here comes the fantastiv video now!
Enjoy!
‘we never had a heart to heart, but you still call me up after dark…’
After Dark is the highly infectious first single taken from The Count & Sinden’s much anticipated forthcoming debut LP, Mega Mega Mega (23rd August).
After Dark is a collaboration between The Count (aka Hervé)& Sinden and indie mavericks,
Mystery Jets, featuring lead vocals from William Rees. Neighbours who became friends, the Mystery Jets DJed at the Count & Sinden’s notorious Mega Mega Mega club nights, and always talked about somehow combining forces. This is what Will from Mystery Jets said about their collaboration:
‘We teamed up with Hervé and Sinden to create a devastating slice of Afrobeat from the valleys of Saturn via the Congo…. There’s no stopping these men with their bongos! Whether you love it or hate it, this beat will be tearing the cubicle out of the loo before you’ve managed to get your trousers down. BE AFRAID!’
After Dark is an anthem in the making, a track so addictive, it makes you want to throw your hands in the air and worship the summer. It’s a perfect introduction to the duo’s album, Mega Mega Mega – an authentically British album jam-packed full of tunes for a party loving generation; a record which is unapologetically honest, playful and hedonistic.
After Dark is backed with remixes by Buraka Som Sistema and by C.R.S.T. (which stands for Chesus, Rodski, Stroud & Tony Blitz….. 4 DJs/Producers from South Wales having a background in Garage, House, Hip Hop and Drum & Bass).
The Count & Sinden will be playing the following dates over the summer, with an autumn tour to be announced soon:
Friday 2nd July: Wakestock Festival (Wales)
Friday 16 July: London – Bocking Street Warehouse (by London Fields, E8) – Mega Mega Mega party and Lovebox afterparty (with Brodinski, Surkin and more)
30th July: Global Gathering

Compost Records presents a new sub-label, which, as the name implies, take care of disco tunes. For sure there will be overlaps with the parent or sister labels Compost Black Label or Drumpoet Community. In the history of Compost Records Disco played always a big role and is a pier of the label. This is also shown by the head Michael Reinboth and his radio show where here combines his passion for soulful, discotized and electronic clubtracks.
Yes, and the first release on Compost Disco is from Stefano e Bene and they are big fans of Italo Disco. In their “Happy Sunshine Studio”
they work on their own definition of this sound. Actually, the two boys do not come from Italy.
But their friend Hard Ton does. Together with this really big artist, who already released on Dissident, Gigolo and Permanent Vacation, they created Why Your Love, the first Stefano e Bene single.
A track for the disco, for the summer and for the love. As remixers Stefano e Bene asked the jackers from Snuff Crew. Also Hard Ton himself and Katzbatz, the project of Stefano and Cologne based DJ Catweasel did a mix.
