On October 4, Feist returns with her highly anticipated new album, Metals – the follow-up to her 2007 breakout The Reminder.

Recorded between Toronto and Big Sur, California and co-produced by longtime collaborators Chilly Gonzales and Mocky, as well as newcomer Valgeir Sigurðsson (Bjork, Bonnie “Prince” Billy), Metals marks Feist’s celebratory return to the world stage.

Like The Reminder, this album is astoundingly intimate, yet often exuberant; rife with transcendent and unforgettable pop gems.

Metals will be teased with 12 unique vignettes, each hinting at a different element of this stunningly beautiful, sublime record. Fans can follow their release at listentofeist.com.

Eastman w/ – Neve – ‘Greedy Eyes (Separately Together)’

Posted in Cut The Noize on July 22nd, 2011 by alt

Eastman has been a respected presence in the Underground Music-Scene since the late 1990s. Producer and Remixer of Acts such as Miss Moon and Massive Ego, he began recording his own work in 2000, resulting in the release of his debut album “Flame” a year later. Eastman was living and working in London during this period, running the indie labels E2UK and Thirteen[REC]. Despite his intense schedule, Eastman found the time to write and produce his second pure-sex-to-the-ears album “24Hours (The ‘Deviants’ Soundtrack)”, which aptly provided the Soundtrack to the X-rated film “Deviants”. In 2008 Eastman released his third, and to date, most successful album, “Light Design”, followed closely in 2009 by the Special Edition “Lgt Dsgn 3D” featuring ten new tracks and the singles “Lover” and “Shiver”, which fast became favourites on the Euro holiday scene, it was no surprise to Eastman fans when the title track from this eponymous album was picked up by Allianz Insurance for use in a high profile advertising campaign.

Hardworking Eastman is planning to build on these successes and is aiming for maximum impact on the dance-floor over the next two years, beginning with the brilliant new single “Greedy Eyes (Separately Together)” co-written and sung by the enigmatic NEVE (for the curious, more can be found about Neve at her website www.littlenevewhite.com.

The track “Greedy Eyes (Separately Together)” first became popular as a viral video on YouTube under the name “icantrocknroll” where it generated an enthusiastic response and much speculation, being compared to projects such as those from Iammewhoami. In a recent interview with HONK! Magazine, Eastman said of “Greedy Eyes”, “I wanna get the crowd movin’ on the dance-floor with this one, really rock out”. To accompany the release is a Sexy and Damn cool Music Video Directed & Produced by Swedish Director Anton Z Risan of Magic Mask Pictures and a collection of Remixes by: Semi-D, The Snoopy Lads, Sedat Altinok, Bjoern Nafe, HydrusX and Wave Dweller.

Breakbot - Fantasy feat. Ruckazoid

When he was a teenager, no girl has Breakbot asked for a dance. The tide should turned fast for the Parisian electro producer, under the auspices of Ed Banger Records, however: With his first single “Baby I’m Yours” and numerous remixes like “A Thing For Me” (Metronomy) or “Baby” (Pnau), today Breakbot seduces women and dance floors in the same breath. He made his mark e.g. with the 2006 remix of Justice’s “Let There Be Light”, based on the “Waters of Nazareth” – EP. Meanwhile, the demanded remixer and producer has worked with names such as Digitalism, Metronomy or Sebastien Tellier .

Only a few were in the exclusive musical adventure from the new stroke of genius “Fantasy” feat. Ruckazoid, everyone else had to wait until today – but the wait was more than worth it: Breakbot’s ‘Fantasy EP‘ comes with three remixes. Ladies and gentleman, get ready for some dancing!
