‘For such a young group to already be armed with this bold artistic vision, there’s no telling where it could take them.’ – Indie Shuffle
After racking up over 15 million streams on their Nylon and Noisey-approved debut, Kafka Tamura resurface with a self-assured new single on 100% Records.
Excited to introduce a new RMX by Chi Thanh who took Kafka Tamura’s distinct artistic vision and original brand of minimalist pop and added a deephouse underground touch to it. Keeping the deepness of the original tune and the brightness of Emma Bradshaws soulful, contemplative vocals.
Taking their name from the protagonist of the surrealist Japanese novel ‘Kafka on the Shore’, they originally formed online as a trio in 2012, when Gabriel Hauser and previous member Patrick Bongers stumbled upon the SoundCloud musings of Emma Bradshaw. Following Patrick’s departure and Emma’s relocation to Berlin, the duo leaned towards a more natural and dynamic sound with the aid of britisch producer Eliot James.
Their otherworldly indie-electronica has received acclaim by the likes of Earmilk, The 405, Indie Shuffle, The Line of Best Fit, Clash and the iconic French label Kitsuné. They undoubtedly live, breathe and play with a ‘no boundaries’ ethos, and ‘Find Me Well’ marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the band – a new sound, a new setup and a new live show to look out for in 2017.
