Virtual 3d sets of blocks and morphing geometries representing glitches, harmonic and rhythmic structure of the music spread themselves through the streets and the buildings until they take over the entire cityscape.
The film has been realized with an experimental, “faked” stop motion technique derived from standard footage elaboration, using multiple paces in order to maintain the synchronization with the soundtrack.

“Big Bad Wolf” “is pretty simple, and it can mean anything, really, so we wanted the video to have its own narrative,” says A-Trak, one-half of the dance duo Duck Sauce, along with DJ Armand Van Helden. “Remember when dance music videos used to actually be creative? Like when you think back to Aphex Twin, Fatboy Slim and Daft Punk… I don’t know why the genre’s videos became so generic in recent years.
“When Keith [Schoffield] came up with this idea of ‘crotchfaces,’ we just thought it was hilarious,” A-Trak continues. “He started coming up with all these gags and describing the characters living in this sort of parallel world, and we were sold. He wasn’t sure if we’d be down to play the leads, but our take on this was, if we’re going to do this, we need to go all the way. So we played the dickheads, essentially.”
With ‘Green Eyes’ the fresh and exciting Berlin based disco funk ensemble DATA MC consisting of singer Ono, producer Walera and DJ San Gabriel is presenting the next single release out of their fresh longplayer ‘Daily Mirror’ which is a reflection of their latest live tour through Israel. Reminiscent of that fact the original song starts off with crashing waves creating a summerish vibe, while a shuffle beat groove and dreamy atmospheric synth sounds come in and the story-telling lyrics of Ono don’t leave any doubt somehow he must have lost his mind in the eyes of a special lady during that tour. However, it´s a song to fall in love with which you will do as well with the marvellous remix package that is provided here. The remix line up is opened by Mood Music Rec. member Alexander Maier who brings in an excellent emotional deep house interpretation that sents out a certain melancholy. Next up is Philipp Maier aka Santé – famous for his latest releases on Rekids and Souvenir Music – raising up the pace and delivering again high quality prime time entertainment for house and techno floors alike. Berlins popular indie electro pop trio Bullmeister then lifts “Green Eyes” up to another level of energy yet keeps it eclectic. Surely the choice of fans of latest Magician productions. At least we have on board a deep Funk take of Israel based producer Michael Cohen perfect for chill out hours. So, all is here to have ‘Green Eyes’ in your set!

Singer, songwriter, DJ and producer Ben Westbeech presents his new album “There’s More To Life Than This” – a soulful, inspired by house music gem.
“There’s More To Life Than This” Ben’s is more than overdue second album. After his first exclamation mark in 2006 – “So Good Today” – he was taken by Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings’ upcoming contract. His 2007er debut album “Welcome To The Best Years Of Your Life” was enthusiastically received. Along with this success, the expectations were rising in him and also the fears, the level at his subsequent publications are not to keep. It followed months full of weariness, disorientation and uninspired – lost in musical limbo.
“For a while after ‘Welcome To’, I did not feel inspired,” he explains. “I got a bit lost, a bit disillusioned. I was getting lots of work as a DJ, enjoying life, but I did not have any hunger. Towards the end of it all, I asked myself, what do I have to show for the past few months? It just was not a productive time for me. I had fun, but I just was not making enough good music. ”
Since it’s 2007 single ‘D.A.N.C.E’ the two french house and dance-rockers from Justice refers to the biggest party weapon, which bring each club to escelate withing seconds. Four years after its style-defining debut alum “†”, Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé strikes back with ‘Civilization”, the track for the global brand campaign by Adidas.
‘Civilization‘ appears digitally with the global launch of the Adidas-campaign and will also be available on the forthcoming still-untitled second album following in the course of the year.
