One of my favourite acts in the last years, though it is only their third track. Flight Facilities from Trinidad and Tobago comes up with another disco-pop anthem and made a great deal with their featured artist. It is no one less than Grosvenor, aka former Hot Chip drummer Rob Smoughton. “With You” comes up with a huge remix package and what you definately should do is to listen to the remix of young hamburg guy David August. More remixes are coming from Danny Daze and from duo MAM, aka Miguel Campbell and Matt Hughes.

But don’t miss their new video for “With You”. I don’t have to tell you that the video reminds someone to Daft Punk video . Sure, it is inspired by ”Interstella 5555″. But guys, when can we listen and get the album. It is time, NOW!

The new album Happy To You is out for some weeks which, i have to admit, couldn’t hear yet. But if i listen to the new remix of Brodinski, it seems to be an very promising album.

I was somewhat puzzled by the remix of Brodinski and would have expected that he makes a rather deeper and more techno-sounded track. But apparently the young smart Frenchman has not forgotten how to even go a little harder.

Audiofly return to Get Physical after their extensive tour promoting their debut album ’Follow My Liebe’. THESE TRACKS?! A. Maze. Ing.

First up is ‘Love Is A Drug’ featuring Robert Owens. A simple house rhythm opens a can of bass, so deep you weren’t sure you could hear that low. Vocals set the mood and the break leads into a very dreamy dub chord and full hi–hat glory. A rather slow, burning build that leads beautifully into the next track.

Break out with bass and percussion. ‘I’ll Tell Ya’ is sonic gold. Big Bully & Audiofly produce a very musical number, very sensual in design and take us away to a place of pleasure. The soft vocals on this track are going to be heard everywhere this summer. Audiofly proves they know exactly what they’re doing. Instant classic.

Cleverly titled, new label My Techno Weighs A Ton is launched by infamous Helsinki based bass and electro music don Sharkslayer. My Techno Weighs A Ton (or MTWAT) is dedicated to the more bangin sounds of today’s club music. While his other label Top Billin continues to push the boundaries for forward-thinking party music and ghetto vibed club cuts, MTWAT will make sure to release cutting edge high-powered party music ranging from rave numbers to electro house, dubstep tracks and even jackin house (with some ghetto house numbers too). Sharkslayer promises quality over quantity. And here it is release 001 which comes from a duo haling from Leipzig a former East German city. Named Ostblockschlampen (very German), the due consists of Markus Lange and his cohort, girl named Vanilla and these guys are into big bangers, make no mistake about that. This high powered duo is already recieving support from Fake Blood, Kissy Sellout, Larry Tee, Don Rimini and countless others and they have done tracks / remixes for labels like Coco Machete, Dim Mak, Simma, Great Stuff and more. These two electro professionals keep convincing with their dancefloor friendly tracks and great production techniques. Definitely a team to watch. Huge remix support comes from by Funkin Matt, Sick Boy, Vanilla and Top Billin head himself – Sharkslayer!

The first 2 editions already became heavy collector items with prices rocketing on Discogs. “The Voice Of Dru” should be a familiar one by now, with both Rusty’s Dusty Disco and another cat that escapes me both having a go at re-editing its seductive, cosmic-boogie grooves. This particular version sees a big fat house kick drum and synth bass placed under the refrain plus a completely new vocal part (most likely ripped from another tune then collaged over the top – answers on a postcard please!). The catchy vocoder bit (‘this is the voice of Q…’) is thankfully left in as is the robotic cosmic breakdown. All in all it’s a tasteful but worthy re-imagination of this rare classic. Next up Bukka & Molinari’s, “Mind Games”. I’m afraid I can’t remember the original but it’s a dreamy, lush jaunt into coastal atmospheres and fluttering arpeggios. A nice Balearic guitar lick rolls through the track alongside gentle pads before a completely invigorating male vocal transports us off into celestial bliss. Patryk Molinari cleverly twists (and speeds up) Hall & Oats “I Can’t Go For That”‘s bassline into a rough house cut reminiscent of a live Moodymann workout (we even get a gruff black male toasting over the track). Finally Patryk Molinari comes at us again with “Erotic” – a rolling soulful and techy house cut which sounds like an OG to me (although the small ‘erotic’ vocal refrain is most likely a sample). Deep and throbbing and purpose-built for sweaty, eyes-wide-shut dancing next to the speaker stacks. As usual with Black Jukebox releases these are vinyl only, limited in number and likely to be snapped up super fast.

Although i am a little bit dissapointed of Who Made Who’s latest album, which sounds like a very fast made one without deepness, here comes an amazing Digitalism remix of Inside World which is one of the best tracks on the album.
Further remixes are coming from Daniel Maloso from Mexico & Detone from Copenhagen

Old pals Jordi Moonen and Laurens Van Steenbergen, also known as AEROTRONIC, have been DJ-ing and producing together since they were teenagers. Their innovative mixture of top-notch techno, rave, energy and danceable music was supported by internationally renowned artists such as Mr. Oizo, Zombie Nation and Mixhell. While playing the stages of Europe, the two Belgians made it to Russia where they became a part of Proxy’s MAKO RECORDS. Here, they met a mysterious Russian who had been released by John B’s legendary Beta Recordings and the tzar of Russian techno, Proxy, himself. This Ph.D. in physical chemisty was hidden in the catacombs of Moscow and his mind seemed to be deeply affected by his constant work with chemicals, especially acid. He turned out to be an alchemist in music, who was able to produce gold with his fingers. His name: GMOROZOV.

When they met they immediately started a common musical mission. With their SPUTNIK EP they are leaving the trashy electro for good and embark on an all-over-techno mission. The result is an innovative original new sound that doesn’t lose the energy both have been well-known for. The Belgian-Russian collaboration project is going to be released on the Berlin-based label TECHNO CHANGED MY LIFE.

CutTheNoize is proud to share something really special with you peeps. We are talking about the first ever EP of youngster Etnik who is beyond question one of the freshest producer talents around and already considered as the Wunderkind of the new German techno scene. It only took him several gigs in Hamburg’s Ballsaal and a few remixes to land him a record deal. But the most fascinating and refreshing thing about Etnik, born 1992, isn’t his young age, it’s his
uncompromising and incredibly individual style.

Etnik (incidentally also his real name) grew up in Hamburg to Albanian parents who supported him greatly on his road to musical discovery. Whilst his classmates were out grinding to r’n'b and hip-hop, Etnik stayed in and experimented with beats and bleeps to create his very own definitiv sound. His aim: to invent an new, elegant form of techno. Instead of piling his music with layers and layers of synths and noises, Etnik does away with surplus sounds and concentrates on the core. His music is to the point and avoids gimmicks so often employed by his contemporaries. He always wears a bow tie to perform. Simple and stylish. Shaken, not stirred. Musically he found inspiration in the songs of modern artists such as Boys Noize, Tiga, D.I.M. and Kraftwerk, but also in the compositions of classical composers like Johann Sebastian Bach. Maybe that’s how a few bars of violon solo found it’s way into one of his tracks? Etnik surprises with a collection of concentrated beats and home-made sawtooth synths; no matter how hard they get, the tracks maintain a charming analogue fragility and most importantly, soul. Etnik’s trademarks are his huge drops, which often come by surprise and sweep you off your feet. And exactly that is his philosophy: „In your face, but with style!“ Etnik is a perfectionist – he worked on his tracks for two years before he judged them worthy enough to upload to Soundcloud.

Quality matters more than quantity. And this quality brought him immediate acclaim from Zombie Nation and TWR72 to name a few. Even heavy weights as Skrillex or Larry Tee shouted out props to Etnik via facebook. Etnik doesn’t just impress as a producer, but also as a DJ. He, however, doesn’t classify himself as either, rather as an entertainer with a concept. And by the way, the backwards N in his logo is actually a piece of a visualised version of a sawtooth- wave, just like the ones he uses in his music.

Next year he’ll take his A-Level exams. And as his schoolmates fall frantically into bouts of panic about the future, Etnik is set to release new tracks and has a tour planned in Australia and the USA to show the surfer kids on the other side of the planet the newest and freshest sound. Etnik is just getting started. And. We. Are. Excited.

The Vino EP features a first class set of remixes from Rynecologist, NT89 and Borussia due for release via Bitclap! on April 10th.
