“Groove Armada, Dimitri From Paris, Larry T loved this release… It was one of the Miami WMC – Hits of Aeroplane. The remix of legendary German house producer Ian Pooley turned into a massive club hit. Finally here is the exclusive MySpace video release to this futuristic disco house cover version of Ian Dury’s Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick. Telonius made this track a while ago for a 80ies cover contest, but as more and more DJs asked for the tune we finally gave it a proper release: The single including remixes by Ian Pooley, Cassian, Bottin out on Gomma. A little bit more from the canadian export Tiga Sontag. He took his hand on The XXs ‘Shelter’ and made a quite nice remix for later nighttimes.
You will hear that he really didn’t make a big change and maybe you wonder why this should be a remix just putting a four to the floor basedrum under the orginal.
I would say Tiga made everything right and he kept the sad and atmospheric mood of the orignial song alive.

Last week one of my favourite artists ever Chilly Gonzales released his seventh album called Ivory Tower. And this time it is produced by no one less than Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize. Gonzo is always good for a surprise and this time it is a movie with the same title, directed by Adam Traynor from Puppetmastaz. The Guiness book world record holder for the longest solo performance by an individual has written and co-produced Ivory Tower in which Gonzo plays himself and his own father, next to Peaches, Feist and Tiga who plays his archly brother. Ivory Tower is available now on iTunes and Beatport.

Eddy Meets Yannah Remixes

Eddy Meets Yannah’s third album on Compost „Fiction Jar“ was released in March 2010. The Croatian duo got lot of respect, heavy duty feedback, top reactions and full support by Gilles Peterson, Floating Points, Kevin Beadle, Patrick Forge, Lovemonk crew, Martyn, Kyoto Jazz Massive, as well as by some hot upcoming poshstep and dubstep dudes. Now it’s time for a top remix package, with contributions by Rainer Trueby, Ezel, YOSA, Bopstar and Zed Bias, who also made some beats and the mixdowns for the album.

We don’t need to introduce Rainer Trueby, except maybe worth to mention that his remixes are also co-production with Danilo from Motor City Drum Ensemble. Guess you hear that.

Ezel is a young producer from the Dominican Republic, already created a voice for himself under the guidance of spiritual driven dance music. Ezel worked closely with the likes of Osunlade and Daz-I-Kue and with some really hot remixes under his belt.

Bopstar is also an underground good name, Elusive DJ, Restless Soul production member, former Soul Heaven artist, and undercover souljazz afficionado. Making waves across continents lately spotted everywhere from Soweto to the Southport Weekender, restless in every way, recently quoted as saying : Bopstar was just the
caterpillar, the butterfly is coming next.

You may know Japanese young promising talent YOSA from his recent Drumpoet Community release, well he has previously done nice 12inches for Resopal, Dirt Crew, Supplemental and Suara.

Trentemøllers News Single – Exclusive video premiere

Trentemøller’s last album ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder‘ came out on may 31st and became a huge acclaim for his creativity of mixing genres and instrumentations. For me, and probably you will hate me for this, it isn’t that big masterpiece. Maybe i have to listen to it few time more, anyway.

Here comes the video of the first single ‘‘… Even Though You’re With Another Girl’ where Trentemøller featured the vocals of Josephine Philip. Director Adam Hashemi tells a story about a man who can not live with the memories of a past lover in his current relationship.

I am full of suspense to the remix bundle coming out in September with remixes by Pantha Du Prince and Kollektiv Turmstrasse. And there will be also available a limited 7-inch with remixes from Mikael Simpson and Anders ø himself.

Charles Haddon – Suicide during Pukkelpop Festival

What a shock for the visitors of the Belgian rock festival Pukkelpop:
The only 22 years young Charles Haddon, the singer of the British electro group “Ou est le Swimming Pool“, commit suicide on Friday during the music event.

According to the news agency Belga, the 22-year-old collapsed soon after his appearance in Kiewit near to Hasselt from a pillar to the artist parking lot. What led him to commit suicide is still unclear, the police already started the investigation. Despite the horrific incident, the event, which annually attracts tensthousand of music fans has been maintained.

The young band “Ou est le Swimming Pool” from London brought three singles on the market so far, their album “Christ Died for Our synths is” should actually come out on october 22.
