Housse De Racket – Alesia co-produced by Philippe Zdar

Posted in Cut The Noize on August 22nd, 2011 by alt

Housse De Racket are the Parisian duo Pierre Leroux and Victor Le Masne. After a successful first record which included the hit single “Oh Yeah!”, acclaimed by music press and tastemakers, they release, today, a new record “Alesia” co-produced by Philippe Zdar, eleven futuristic pop songs, with a wide range of influences from Morricone to Carpenter, from Sparks to Bowie, walking in the steps of their elders Air and Phoenix. HDR’s second album looks set to establish itself as one of the cornerstones of 21st century French pop.

Mix of the day by Beataucue

They are still one of my favourite duo’s since last year. I like their childish way playing with the music. In their productions and also in their sets.
Enjoy Beautaucue’s monthly mix #1 – The Kitsuné issue Nov. ’10

New Digitalism Single ‘Blitz/Stratosphere’

Posted in Cut The Noize on October 29th, 2010 by alt

Long time nothing heard from Hamburg duo Digitalism. All the more we were exicted about what they deliver. And here it is. “Blitz” is the long awaited single from the electronic astronauts, who have created a big bang theory of their own. It’s a synth supernova that explodes through the speakers, bringing with it a euphoric state of consciousness as we too look to the stars and while we may know there are far greater things happening within this moment, all you can do is dance.

Beataucue – Cha Cha Cha (Kitsuné)

Posted in Cut The Noize on May 19th, 2010 by alt

I love this two kids and their productions and i have to admit that i don’t know them for a long time. But this is maybe because of their not so long list of releases which counts seven at this time, seven remixes by the way.

But now Beataucue comes up with their first EP on Kitsuné called Cha Cha Cha and i have to say that a lot of the established producers could take a leaf out of their (production) book. It is not the one sided style of sound which gets on your nerves after some minutes. This is more fresh and encouraging and poppy although their tracks have an aggressive attitude. These two guys have to say something, a story, a message… and i open my ears and like to listen to them.
