Daft Punk and Science Fiction: This fits perfectly togehter. The Disney studios has hired the two Frenchmen as film composer for the remake of the eighties science fiction movie Tron: Legacy. An obvious and promising decision. There are not many pop artists like Thomas Bangalter und Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo you can trust to compose music for a movie that is attracting a broad interest. Last week one of my favourite artists ever Chilly Gonzales released his seventh album called Ivory Tower. And this time it is produced by no one less than Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize. Gonzo is always good for a surprise and this time it is a movie with the same title, directed by Adam Traynor from Puppetmastaz. The Guiness book world record holder for the longest solo performance by an individual has written and co-produced Ivory Tower in which Gonzo plays himself and his own father, next to Peaches, Feist and Tiga who plays his archly brother. Ivory Tower is available now on iTunes and Beatport.
